The Chornobyl NPP has received another shipment of humanitarian aid from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as part of the medical assistance program for operational personnel of Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plants. This is furniture for arranging inter-shift rest and relaxation areas for the Chornobyl NPP personnel.
This aid is intended to improve the rest conditions for personnel who have been working on a shift rotation basis since June 2022.
Currently, inter-shift rest areas are arranged directly at the Chornobyl NPP site in repurposed buildings, and this assistance, together with that provided by the IAEA earlier, will allow creating more comfortable conditions for personnel relaxation after a work shift.
We would like to remind you that in 2024, the IAEA purchased beds and orthopedic mattresses, and in 2025 - thermopots, refrigerators, coolers, sanitary supplies, etc.
Thanks to such assistance, personnel is able to effectively perform their core functions of power units decommissioning, radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel management, and, most importantly, to ensure nuclear and radiation safety.
