
It has been two years since the Chornobyl NPP switched to a rotational work schedule. During this time, the plant’s management has been actively working on improving the conditions in the inter-shift rest areas (dormitories) for personnel.
In May 2024, ChNPP began renovation work using its own resources in one of the dormitories where ChNPP personnel stay. The renovation includes reconfiguring rooms into single and double occupancy to prioritize creating comfortable living conditions and reducing the number of people per room. Additionally, the work involves repairing walls and ceilings, including plastering and painting, replacing door units, updating electrical wiring, and planned work on flooring replacement. Improvements are also being made to the condition of showers and common areas.


On June 05, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law On Ratification of Framework Agreement between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Regarding the International Chernobyl Cooperation Account.
On May 16, Chornobyl NPP industrial site and Exclusion Zone were visited by a delegation consisting of Director General for International Order, the United Nations and Arms Control at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany Dr. Günter Sautter, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine H.E. Mr. Martin Jaeger, and accompanying team.
In 2024, the office premises of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant were colourful due to the embroidery patterns on emploees` shirts, blouses and dresses. Stylised shirts, replica shirts, modern shirts and dresses are all evidence that Ukrainian vyshyvanka is a vital phenomenon and popular nationally oriented clothing.
From 17 to 19 April 2024, the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU) conducted an inspection survey of the State Specialised Enterprise Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
