On 30 May 2019, Chornobyl NPP was visited by Ignalina NPP top management, led by Audrius Kamienas, Director General of the Lithuanian power plant.
The aim of the visit was to familiarize with the progress of ChNPP decommissioning activities. The delegation met with ChNPP top management and discussed NPP decommissioning approaches and ChNPP practices in this direction, namely the radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel management, as well as the human resource management at power plant under the conditions of variable scope of works.
In addition, the Lithuanian delegation visited the New Safe Confinement and Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility.


On May 30, around 5:00 AM, a message from the unknown person was received at Chornobyl NPP e-mail reporting that an explosive object has been put at the territory of ChNPP industrial site.
