On October 11, the inactive comprehensive tests at Liquid Radioactive Waste Treatment Plant (LRTP) using LRW simulator have been completed. According to a testing programme, four recipes were practiced, i.e. treatment of evaporated concentrate, ion-exchange resin, evaporated concentrate resin, and perlite.

The testing had positive effects and currently the deliverables are being prepared. The prepared document package is planned to submit to SNRIU in early November to obtain a separate permit for LRTP commissioning (performing active tests using actual liquid radioactive waste).

According to a schedule, the active comprehensive testing is supposed to commence in the first half of December 2013.
