First components (transporter) for the new wagon-container, which will be used for Spent Nuclear Fuel transportation from existing Spent Fuel Storage Facility (ISF-1) to the new Storage facility (ISF- 2) are delivered at Chernobyl NPP industrial site. Now to transport spent nuclear fuel Chernobyl NPP uses wagon-container procured in 1986.
Technical Specifications of the new wagon-container will allow to perform safely all Spent Fuel movement operations in full compliance with the regulatory requirements of Ukraine. "Skoda" company (Czech Republic) delivers this equipment under the signed Contract.
According to the Contract conditions, allthecomponents for thenew wagon-container willbe delivered at the industrialsiteinthethirdquarterof 2014. After assembly and testing of wagon - container will be certified and commissioned by the beginning of 2015.
