Chernobyl NPP Staff Took Part in Kyiv Volunteer Clean-up (“Subbotnik”)

A large volunteer clean-up (“subbotnik”) was held in Kyiv on the 1st of March, Saturday. More than thousand workers of the capital’s community services along with volunteers, who arrived from various towns of Ukraine, stirred out to clean-up the city. Their activities were coordinated by staff of utility enterprises of Pechersk and Shevchenko districts of Kyiv.

The Chernobyl NPP staff also took part in the volunteer clean-up. Twelve Plant’s employees, mainly trade union activists, participated in cleaning-up the Hrushevskyi Street area. In particular, they were engaged in clearing the debris near the V.Lobanovskyi Stadium.
