Decommissioning Information Support System of Chornobyl NPP (DISS)

Creation of the Decommissioning Information Support System of Chornobyl NPP is funded by the European Commission under TACIS Program.

Contractor – Energiewerke Nord GmbH (EWN GmbH), Germany.

Project objective:
Assisting in decommissioning of Chornobyl NPP Units by means of delivering the equipment and software required for the system functioning.

Implementation of the system is caused by a necessity to preserve and update the information to be obtained during implementation of the ChNPP Units shutdown and decommissioning stages.

Project implementation gave an opportunity to:
1. Select the optimum organizational and technical decisions on decommissioning
2. Ensure support during decommissioning work planning
3. Preserve and update the information obtained during all decommissioning stages.

All activities under the contract were completed on February 25, 2013 (including 1 year of warranty period).

The system is under pilot operation.
