On 25th September, the Chernobyl NPP was visited by a delegation of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Cooperative Threat Reduction Program team led by Mr. Gary Park, International Project Manager. 

The tour was arranged within the frame of a visit of the Cooperative Threat Reduction Program team to Ukraine with the purpose to familiarize themselves with institutions which are receiving assistance of the U.S. DoD.

The guests visited the ChNPP layout hall, where a Deputy Director for Staff and Regime Ievgen Katunin presented general information about state of activities at the ChNPP site. Also they visited a guard duty building, where were familiarized with peculiarities of Chernobyl NPP’s and Shelter Object’s security arrangement, as well as with a system of interaction between the ChNPP and Military Unit 3041 of the National Guard of Ukraine. Besides, the guests visited the New Safe Confinement’s construction site, Shelter Object’s observation pavilion and a town of Prypiat.
