As part of the visit to the town of Slavutych, the US. Clean Futures Fund (CFF) management held a number of meetings with ChNPP representatives.

On October 13, representatives of the Fund visited ChNPP office where they met with Acting Director General Serhii Martynov and ChNPP Trade Union Head Bohdan Serdiuk.

At the meeting, they discussed the progress of "Dogs of Chornobyl" project whose main task is to control the population of stray dogs within ChNPP territory by their sterilization and vaccination. CFF Chief Veterinarian Jennifer Betz said that project made it possible to curb almost completely the uncontrolled breeding of dogs and in general had a positive effect on health of the four-legged who live within the power plant area.

In the framework of “Children of Chornobyl” project the Fund representatives together with coordinators from ChNPP visited two families of Slavutych residents whose children need expensive treatment.

In addition, a meeting was held with Chief of Slavutych hospital where Human Clinic project is implemented. The goal of this project is to create a state-of-the-art rehabilitation department. The meeting took place accompanied by the management of Slavutych Regional Development Agency and "ChNPP. Slavytych. Development" foundation, which acts as an intermediary between CFF and Slavutych hospital.

We would like to remind you that since 2016 the Clean Futures Fund has initiated and has been implementing a number of projects both in Exclusion Zone and in the communities affected by Chornobyl accident (Slavutych and Ivankiv are among them).

After the start of full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russia, CFF focused on financial support for humanitarian projects and vulnerable groups of residents in Slavutych and Ivankiv communities. Since the beginning of the invasion, Fund has delivered the direct aid amounted to more than 2 million hryvnias.
