This week, the Clean Future Found (CFF) team realized its mission of assistance in Ukraine again. The main purpose of the visit was to assess the dog population and provide the necessary medical care to the animals.

The team, consisting of Dr. Jennifer Betz, Eric Kamberian, Dr. Laurel Brenton, Derrin Wittbrot and Andriy Simon catched unsterilised dogs and cats for registration and subsequent ovariectomy/neutering and vaccination.

After the visit to ChNPP site and the Exclusion Zone, the CFF team plans to work in the plant’s satellite town - Slavutych.

We will remind that since 2016, the Clean Future Found has initiated and implemented a number of projects both in the Exclusion Zone and in the communities affected by the Chornobyl disaster (including Slavutych and Ivankiv).

One of the Found's projects is Dogs of Chornobyl, which aims to reduce naturally the population of dogs by sterilising them, thereby creating safer conditions for Chornobyl NPP and Exclusion Zone employees. In addition to sterilisation, all dogs undergo a medical examination and vaccination.

After the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Found focused on financial support for humanitarian projects and vulnerable groups of society in the Slavutych and Ivankiv communities.

Summing up CFF's visit to Chornobyl, Andriy Simon noted that the Clean Future Found will continue its mission of assistance and is committed to providing support to create safe and healthy conditions for animals in the future.
