Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine did not spare Chornobyl NPP. ChNPP occupation lasted 38 days. After the Plant de-occupation ChNPP staff lost not only many pieces of equipment. Unfortunately, looters also took away part of the historical archive of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
ChNPP announces the collection of photographs taken on the territory of the Plant, in Pripyat town or anywhere within the current Exclusion zone since 1970.
You are welcomed to join a large-scale campaign to find images of once-living places that are currently in the Exclusion zone. These can be ordinary photos from the streets of Prypiat, random shots of Chornobyl NPP, chronicles of evacuation, or any other photo.
We respect the copyright and your emotions in relation to the photos you send, so we will be happy to find out who owns the photos, who is depicted in them and, perhaps, to hear the story behind each shot. All photos will be included in the Chornobyl NPP archive and published on the Plant's website and in social media with the obligatory indication of authorship.
