1. Firefighting Status

The NSC Arch cladding is monitored continuously by the State Emergency Service (SES) personnel with the involvement of specialized teams. In particular, thermal imaging aerial monitoring of the entire NSC perimeter is carried out.

2. Technical Condition of the Object Shelter (OS) and New Safe Confinement (NSC-OS)
Due to damage to the external and internal shells (cladding) of the NSC Arch and Main Crane System equipment, the safety boundaries and operational conditions of the NSC-SO Complex have been violated.
According to the results of the emergency inspection of the NSC Arch’s enclosing and load-bearing structures, as well as of the main crane system maintenance garage, the following damages have been detected.
1) Arch’s external cladding:
- local through-going damage;
- local defects in the cladding without continuous destruction;
- damage to the internal cladding filler;
- destruction of the bolted joints.
2) garage supporting structures:
- joints of the maintenance garage upper part structures are deformed.
3) According to the results of the preliminary assessment of the ignition consequences occurred on 18.02.2025, damage to the sealing membranes of the NSC enclosing perimeter in the southern, south-western and south-eastern zones was detected.

No deterioration of the radiation situation at the NSC-OS site or at the ChNPP site as a whole has been recorded. No release of radioactive substances beyond the established limits has been detected.
