On June 2-3, specialists of Chornobyl NPP are taking part in the international workshop “Digital twins in lifecycle of nuclear facilities. From construction of an NPP to its operation and decommissioning.”
Digital Twin is a complex digital model of the environment or system that uses real data to create simulations and predictions without affecting the actual analog. It enables verifying hypotheses, testing products, and helping identify bottlenecks and/or problems in a process or a physical object before they occur.
Digital Twins’ software uses tools of artificial intelligence, data modeling and analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), augmented, virtual and artificial reality.


On May 24, as part of a working visit, representatives of the management team of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU), headed by the NASU’s President Anatolii Zahorodnii, arrived to the Exclusion Zone and Chornobyl NPP.
On 27-28 April, Slavutych hosts the online International Conference on Nuclear Decommissioning and Environmental Recovery INUDECO 2023.
26 April 2023 – on the day of the 37th anniversary of the Chornobyl Disaster, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Mr Ruslan Strilets visited the Chornobyl NPP industrial site.
