On April 6, the Chornobyl NPP was visited by the first pool of participants of a large international event – “SESAM 2021 Poliklinika” (Small European Students of Architecture Meeting).
About 40 young students and architects from Ukraine, Belarus, Ireland, Latvia, russia, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and France visited the ChNPP Main Building and the Shelter Observation Pavilion.


The first concrete storage module (CSM) at a new interim storage facility for spent nuclear fuel (i.e. ISF-2) was filled on July 29.
On 29 July, 2021, a Panel of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU) approved the Conclusion of the nuclear and radiation safety (NRS) state expert review of ChNPP’s document “Safety Analysis Report for NSC-SO Complex.”
On July 28, a message from the unknown person was received at Chornobyl NPP e-mail reporting that an explosive item has been put on the area of ChNPP industrial site.
A final day of the Member Support Mission (MSM) of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) was held on July 16 at the ChNPP Training Center.
