24 applications have been submitted to Chornobyl NPP contest for the best mural design, and 6 more have been submitted after the deadline, therefore they have not participated in the contest.
After processing the protocols of the jury which considered such criteria as relevance, creativity, artistic integrity and innovativeness, and following the count of voting in the Facebook, Valerii Korshunov has been chosen the winner of the contest with the design project “A Look into the Future”.

According to the Contest Procedure, the winner is awarded with an exclusive two-day personal trip to Chornobyl NPP site and the Prypiat town (up to 3 persons in a group is allowed) and with a UAH 5,000 money prize.


During the searches carried out shortly after the message was received reporting about the presence of an explosive device on the territory of ChNPP, no items with signs of explosive devices were found.
On 30 May 2019, Chornobyl NPP was visited by Ignalina NPP top management, led by Audrius Kamienas, Director General of the Lithuanian power plant.
On May 30, around 5:00 AM, a message from the unknown person was received at Chornobyl NPP e-mail reporting that an explosive object has been put at the territory of ChNPP industrial site.
Two IAEA expert missions on characterization of irradiated graphite (hereinafter: iGraphite) and on waste form determination procedures are being held at ChNPP from 27 to 31 May 2019 as part of the national technical cooperation project.
