
The SSE ChNPP is pleased to invite all interested people to participate in the photo contest devoted to the 35th anniversary commemoration of the disaster.
The aim of this contest is to mainstream the topic of the accident anniversary at Chornobyl NPP.
Categories of the Contest are as follow:
1. «Action place is ChNPP» (pictures from the industrial site or work places)
2. «The favourite town» (pictures from Prypiat and/or Slavutych
3. «In search of beauty» (pictures of Exclusion Zone landscapes).
The applications are received – from March 22 till April 2, 2021.
Contest stages:
- 22.03-02.04.2021 — Receipt of applications.
- 03.04-13.04.2021 (23:59) — Voting for photographs on the official Facebook page of ChNPP.
- 03.04-13.04.2021 — Judging and voting by the jury for the best photograph in every category.
- 14.04 — Summarizing the Contest results.
- 15.04 — Announcing the Contest winners.
The number of photographs from one participant is limited – only one picture for every category.

ChNPP is pleased to announce the search for photographs, which were taken within the ChNPP territory, in the town of Prypiat or somewhere within the area of Exclusion Zone in 1986.
Within the nationwide Programme of events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster, the 6th International Conference on Nuclear Decommissioning and Environmental Recovery INUDECO 2021 will take place in Slavutych on 27-29 April 2021.
July last year saw the beginning of pilot operation of the New Safe Confinement. Monitoring the state of the NSC buildings and structures is one of the activities provided for during this period. To obtain as much necessary data as possible and a more precise understanding of the situation, the staff of the Shelter Object (NSC) Operation Shop (hereinafter - SO(NSC)OS) carry out 3D-scanning of the main NSC volume.
From 8 to 12 February, 2021, an online Nuclear Leadership and Safety Culture training workshop was held. It was organized by the World Association of Nuclear Operators (hereinafter – WANO) together with SE “Khelnytskyi NPP” and SE “Rivne NPP”. Chornobyl NPP at this event was represented by Senior Inspector of NPPs Operation – Oleksandr Pichkur, and Section Supervisor of the Decommissioning Shop – Vasyl Yezan. Also the participants included representatives from the South-Ukraine NPP, Zaporizhzhia NPP, and co-organizers.
