
As of October 2 (10:00 a.m.), 20 (twenty) COVID-19 disease cases were confirmed among the SSE ChNPP staff.
Among them:
• 6 persons were discharged recovered
• 13 persons are under ambulatory treatment
• 1 person is under stationary treatment in Pereiaslav hospital
Other 19 employees are self-isolated as they contacted the persons with positive PCR tests.
All employees are under the supervision of their family doctors.
In order to prevent the COVID-19 spread among the SSE ChNPP staff and also to terminate the self-isolation if appropriate, there is a contract on PCR diagnostics concluded between the SSE ChNPP and the Chernihiv Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. 41 PCR tests were made so far.


In July 2020,
On September 17, Chornobyl NPP agreed with the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine the required documentation to start a pilot operation of the facility for materials release from regulatory control.
Within the framework of hot tests commenced on September 10, 2020, at the new Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility of Chornobyl NPP, all the operations related to the first real spent fuel assembly (SFA) preparation for storage have been successfully completed.
On September 10, “hot tests” commenced at the new Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility No.2 (hereinafter referred to as ISF-2), under the specific permit for commissioning of the nuclear facility issued by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.
On the 7th of September, SSE ChNPP obtained a specific permit for commissioning of a nuclear facility – the Interim Spent Fuel Dry Storage Facility (ISF-2).
On September 4, Chornobyl NPP industrial site was visited by the delegation of NNEC Energoatom's Rivne NPP staff.
